WinMe: Beonex Communicator 0.8-stable w/Enigmail 0.63.3.0

When I select "Save Link Target As..." from Navigator, it suggests the
wrong file type most of the time and thus appends an incorrect extension
to the filename rendering the download useless to many Windows users who
depend upon correct associations with file types. There are no file
types to choose from - only the type that Navigator suggests for the
particular download. Only .zip has been correct so far for the files
I've encountered.

Is it possible to modify this behaviour? If I can't use my existing Win
associations, I'd prefer to be offered a list with (or at least
containing) "All Files" as the file type so that the file extension is
not appended with a second and incorrect one (I know better, I can
remove a bogus extension but other less inclined users will be stuck
with a file they can't work with because of the incorrect file extension
and association).

Thanks in advance for any advice.
