I just downloaded the file, installed Beonex with it and no sign of 
litmus on my system. Therefore I'm sure you didn't get infected by 
Beonex. Who knows what kind of programs you have running in the 
background (try start | run | msconfig to see what's happening behind 
your back), programs which could have been installed ages ago by spyware 
programs like ICQ or Kazaa. NAI states that Litmus is an IRC virus, if 
you're using mIRC make sure you have taken all safety precautions.

Another thing: Zonealarm is not a firewall. A real firewall never runs 
on the same machine as the system it has to protect. Zonealarm is as 
vulnerable to attacks as any piece of software on your Win98 box. I 
would never trust any of those "Desktop Firewalls" - all they do is 
provide a false sense of security.
