Hi Issac,

All common OpenID servers are either on port 80 for non-secure or 443 for SSL
connections.

Subject: [BioMart Users] OpenID error 400

Dear BioMart users,

I have installed BioMart 0.8 RC6 in a server that uses a proxy to access to
Internet. I want to use the OpenID authentication feature but I get the
following error message when trying to use any of the OpenID providers
(OpenID, Google, Gmail, Yahoo):

<html> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html;
charset=ISO-8859-1"/> <title>Error 400 Bad Request</title> </head>
<body><h2>HTTP ERROR 400</h2> <p>Problem accessing /martservice/user/auth.
Reason: <pre> Bad Request</pre></p><hr /><i><small>Powered by
Jetty://</small></i><br/> <br/> <br/> <br/> <br/> <br/> <br/> <br/> <br/> <br/>
<br/> <br/> <br/> <br/> <br/> <br/> <br/> <br/> <br/> <br/> </body> </html>

Although the problem is not directly related to an error in the Internet
connection, I think the problem is that BioMart cannot communicate to the
openID providers. I've configured BioMart with the correct proxy configuration
and it works when trying to access other marts on Internet.

Could you tell me if the OpenID feature uses port 80 to communicate with the
OpenID providers? Could this communication be redirected through out the proxy?

Thanks!
