We changed *to* from useless in our case <to uri="wmq:queue:SOME_QUEUE"/> to <to uri="bean:mqRemoteSender?method=send"/>: MqRemoteSender implements native message sending (using MQQueueManager and MQQueue) with necessary MQ-settings like remote queue and manager.
