Hi, Isn't the question about "preventing a route from kicking in" ? We can stop a route only if it has been started.
Even CamelContext.suspendRoute(routeId) my not work on a route yet to start. There is a warmUp() on the inteface Route. This is called(via callback) before the route starts. You can write some logic here, to prevent the route from proceeding to start.
