If it is code that are not yet in production then I would strongly recommend that you upgrade the Java version to 1.8. Java 1.6 is after all effectively EOL by Oralce since Feb 2013. So if you want to have a application build on supported products going live now with application based on Java 1.6 is not the way to do it :-)
