Hi,

I have investigated further and found that the management server reports it has
sent the password for the router-VM successfully:

2013-06-14 13:11:42,858 INFO [vmware.resource.VmwareResource]
(DirectAgent-193:esxw1.veber.co.uk) Executing resource SavePasswordCommand.

2013-06-14 13:11:42,858 DEBUG [vmware.resource.VmwareResource]

2013-06-14 13:11:42,858 DEBUG [vmware.resource.VmwareResource]

(DirectAgent-193:esxw1.veber.co.uk) savepassword command on domain router
192.168.1.121 completed

However there is no sign in of this on the router-VM and the client-VM reports
that the password server did not have any passwords:

Got response from password server at 10.1.1.1
Password server at 10.1.1.1 did not have any password for the VM
Did not need to change password.

Could anyone try the password reset function in 4.1 and confirm it does work
before I file a bug?

Regards,

Tamas

Subject: Password reset in 4.1

Hi,

I have updated our testbed from 3.0.2 to 4.1 and the password reset function
stopped working.
I have no idea whether the system-vm template change or the systemvm.iso
causing it but no passwords are picked up.
In the management server logs all looks good. No signs of error it just simply
does not work.

Anyone noticed something similar?

Regards
