Migrating existing NFS to S3 will be supported in 4.2.1, see https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/CLOUDSTACK/Migration+of+NFS+Sec ondary+Storage+to+Object+Store for details. At this moment, you can only add a region-wide S3 when there is no NFS secondary storage existing. When you add S3 into system, system vm templates will be automatically uploaded to S3.
