You can modify the 'size' column in the 'volumes' table to reflect the new expanded size.
e.g. I just changed a 20GB root volume to 30GB. 20GB = 21474836480 30GB = 32212254720 After stopping then starting the VM, it is still reporting the size as 30GB The 'Primary Storage Allocated' in the Resources View also reflected the change, but only after the system refreshed the resource usage info.
