Hector,

The API you need is the updateVirtualMachine API for release 4.2 or 4.3 (this
is a 4.2 feature so will not be in the 4.0 API docs)
http://cloudstack.apache.org/docs/api/apidocs-4.3/root_admin/updateVirtualMachine.html

When a VM is deployed, it takes the dynamicallyscalable setting from the
Template, so you cannot control this via the deployVirtualMachine

The updaateVirtualMachine API allows you to deploy a VM from an ISO, then after
deployment update it to make it dynamic etc.

Subject: Enable dynamically scalable property of a vm

Dear all,

I would like to enable the dynamically scalable property of a Virtual machine
at creation time. Is it possible ? I checked the parameters in the API but I
cannot find any parameters that enables this feature. However, I can do it
manually using the UI, if I edit the machine enabling the dynamically scalable
property and then saving the changes.

This is the API call, I was looking at …
