Hello! After upgrading my CloudStack host from 4.3.0 to 4.4.0 (CentOS 6 with RPM packages, following this documentation http://cloudstack-release-notes.readthedocs.org/en/latest/upgrade/upgrade-4.3.html), the system is no longer behaving reliably.
After hacking the DB as in http://cloudstack-release-notes.readthedocs.org/en/latest/upgrade/upgrade-4.3.html#manual-hofix , I had to upgrade the system VMs with cloudstack-sysvmadm with over 20 attempts, before every system vm, virtual router and the console proxy finally arrived at 4.4.0. Now, it is a lottery game whether an operation (create instance, create template, starting/stopping instances,...) succeeds or not. Sometimes I get a timeout exception. After the ca. 6th attempt (where I aways got this error: 2014-08-04 16:44:43,189 ERROR [c.c.a.ApiAsyncJobDispatcher] (API-Job-Executor-1:ctx-493f888d job-562) Unexpected exception while executing org.apache.cloudstack.api.command.admin.template.CreateTemplateCmdByAdmin com.cloud.utils.exception.CloudRuntimeException: Failed to create templateCreating template from volume d0ad94b5-d42b-45ad-937e-72b091afd2cc failed due to java.util.concurrent.TimeoutException: No event for task OpaqueRef:208f9d2c-5fb9-4bd4-ecbf-4e386d67db51 ), I managed to make a template from a working CentOS 6.5 instance. But the instances created from this template shut down themselves right after the kernel boots (visible only on XenCenter; the CloudStack GUI still displays them as "running"). The hypervisors are two XenServer 6.2 hosts. Did I miss something during the upgrade? The management-server.log is not really helpful (despite being on DEBUG level already). What could I do to find the source of the problem?
