I misunderstand your question, yes mounting and unmounting is not the job of
cloudstack, what I would like to know is : You attach a Data volume, create a
file system and then create some files etc. then after resizing it and mounting
it back, are you loosing your filesystem and any of your files? this is what is
important for me to know, and I guess everybody else, ty sam

Hello ,

I'm working on 4.4 cloudstack with multiple xenservers6.2 and FC as primary
storage.
When i add a DATA volume and attach it to a VM,the volume is connected and
listed after a fdisk -l (/dev/xvdb) command but its not mounted (not listed
on df -h command).
So i do so manually (mount the disk on the linux server) i cretae partion
and mount it on the server and now this volume is listed on th df -h
command.
But when i resize this volume ,he will go back to first state connected but
not mounted on the VM and i loose the filesystem the volume allays appears
on fdisl -l command .

Thx

what do you mean by manually? what is your hypervisor? and you are loosing
the volume, from where? cloudstack or storage?

Hello,

I'm facing a problem when i create a VM the DATA disk is not installed on
the linux server.after doing it manulay i'm able to install the disk.

But when i make a resizeVolume command i lose the old volume.

Is there a solution to resize the volume without loosing the original
volume ?

Cordialement.
