Best practices for international CloudStack Regions

Hey everybody,

We have CloudStack nodes in the US as well as Europe and Asia. We're 
discussing internally what the best way to approach this is; separate 
islands with their own CloudStack management servers, or all talking to 
one central management server.

I thought it would be prudent to poll the list and see what other 
people's Best Practices on this type of thing are. What have been your 
experiences? How would you recommend going? One of the above options or 
something else?

I'd love to hear what people who've been running Clouds like this have 
to say.
