The Apache Software Foundation announces ApacheT CloudStackT v4.6

 Easy-to-deploy Open Source Cloud orchestration platform that "just works" 
features improved virtualization, integration, storage, networking support, 
performance, and more.

 Forest Hill, MD -1 December 2015- The Apache Software Foundation (ASF), the 
all-volunteer developers, stewards, and incubators of more than 350 Open Source 
projects and initiatives, announced today the availability of ApacheT 
CloudStackT v4.6, the turnkey Open Source cloud computing software platform 
used for creating private-, public-, and hybrid cloud environments.

 Apache CloudStack clouds enable billions of dollars' worth of business 
transactions annually across their clouds, and its maturity and stability has 
led it to has become the Open Source platform for many service providers to set 
up on-demand, elastic public cloud computing services, as well as enterprises 
and others to set up a private or hybrid cloud for use by their own employees.

 "This 4.6 release of Apache CloudStack marks a significant shift in how we 
release CloudStack," said Sebastien Goasguen, Vice President of Apache

implemented a new release workflow which allows us to have a production-ready

 CloudStack v4.6 reflects dozens of new features and improvements, including:

 - Bind integration with Globo DNSAPI
 - SAML 2.0 Plugin
 - Managed storage for KVM
 - Improved CloudByte Storage Plugin
 - Use SSH for commands sent to Virtual-Router
 - Baremetal Advanced Networking Support
 - Instance Password Generation length can now be changed

 Supported OS Versions for Management Server

 - RHEL versions 6.3, 6.5, 6.6 and 7.0
 - CentOS versions 6.6, 7.0

 Supported Hypervisor Versions

 Apache CloudStack supports three hypervisor families, XenServer with XAPI, 
KVM, and VMware with vSphere:

 - LXC Host Containers on RHEL 7
 - Windows Server 2012 R2 (with Hyper-V Role enabled)
 - Hyper-V 2012 R2
 - CentOS 6.2+ with KVM
 - Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.2 with KVM
 - XenServer versions 6.1, 6.2 SP1 and 6.5 with latest hotfixes
 - VMware versions 5.0 Update 3a, 5.1 Update 2a, and 5.5 Update 2

 Bare Metal Hosts

 Bare metal hosts, which have no hypervisor, are also supported. These hosts 
can run the following operating systems:

 - RHEL or CentOS, v6.2 or 6.3
 - Fedora 17
 - Ubuntu 12.04
