you can specify the start date and end date and click on delete alert button 
in the dashboard page-Home-alerts.


alert.purge.delay       Alerts older than specified number days will be purged. 
Set this value to 0 to never delete alerts      0


alert.purge.interval    The interval (in seconds) to wait before running the 
alert purge thread 86400


event.purge.delay       Events older than specified number days will be purged. 
Set this value to 0 to never delete events      15


event.purge.interval

I believe you can set the number of days of events you want to keep in global 
settings and it should automatically remove them in newer version of ACS.
