They behave similar to master/slave setup - but there is NO such terminology used here. One Usage server will do all the work (run usage jobs per the schedule) until you stop/restart it - then the second one will be the owner of all usage jobs (this is from testing/experience, not from official docs/code perspective) i.e. just install 2 (or more) and don't worry about anything.
