good questions Granwille, For the MS I´d say a DB backup is most important. Restoring the software and than pointing it to (a restore of) the old DB should work fine. As for the KVM I would not know. I think you´d want to configure failover for VMs and just remover, reinstall and re-add hosts as needed. Maybe someone else hase wiser sugestions than mine, though.
