Hi Wally, I'm Joffrey from the Backroll team. The project is still evolving. We're actively working toward integrating the Backroll plug-in to Cloudstack, it should be ready in the upcoming weeks. I will inform you when the plug-in is available.
We are also making the setup easier and more robust for Backroll so everybody can enjoy a quick and hassle-free setup. On November 23rd, our team will make a presentation of the project progress at the Cloudstack Collaboration Conference 2023 in Paris, so stay tuned. There could also be adhoc backup strategies by using volume snapshot with replicated storage, or using a software defined storage (such as Ceph, Linstor and others) that offers some kind of replication (DR etc). The only thing I was able to find was Backroll; However, it seems they are not currently integrated and the git repo seems to not have much activity. Thanks In advance -Wally
