There’s a feature to pass a vlan range to an interface, but unfortunately 
that’s VMWare. There’s no way that I know of to do that in KVM at the moment, 
but it would be a great features.

That is possible but the maximum number of interfaces I can add to the OS in 
KVM is 24. This limits the scalability of the solution not the worst thing in 
the world but if I can do a trunk port it gives more scalability and 
flexibility.
