As a temporary fix I'd try updating "vm_template_id" in "cloud.vm_instance" and "disk_offering_id" in "cloud.volumes" to the ID of one of your Debian 12 templates (doesn't really matter unless you reinstall the VM from template) and see how that works. Make sure to make a backup of the database before. If I were you I'd still submit an issue on Github regarding the null pointer exception.
