Yes, allowing the VLAN for the isolated network on the switch did indeed enable 
it to ping. The underlying issue was related to the trunking configuration of 
the VLAN ports. Specifically, the VLAN was not correctly allowed on the trunk 
ports, which prevented proper communication between the network segments. By 
ensuring the VLAN is permitted on the trunk ports, the isolated network could 
successfully communicate and ping other devices.
