Hi community, I would like to get some idea if there someone uses iSCSI with a clustered file system for their production cluster that can be shared with us. I know that for CloudStack, NFS and Ceph are much preferred but we currently might not have enough budget buying another server just for either of those.
We have 2 Dell iSCSI based SANs that are currently running for our VMware cluster and would like to use that for CloudStack also. Since CloudStack doesn't have its own filesystem like VMFS, hopefully someone can kindly share with me how you would overcome this. I got another idea of exposing the iSCSI LUN as a drive in a VM then exposing it as NFS but I believe it won't perform well due to the virtualization layers. Thanks :)
