hi guys,
Latency on the same host:
Latency between virtual machines on the same physical host is
consistent, approximately 1 ms.
Storage traffic separation:
Storage-related traffic is completely isolated from the general VM
traffic, ensuring better performance and avoiding interference.

Understood. But what latency are you asking for?
1ms seems high, this should be much lower between VMs on the same host.
Try using 'mtr' in report mode with a 1000 cycles.

Hi,
Troubleshooting network latency in the KVM environment depends on several
factors.
Have you observed any pattern or a specific use-case when network latency
is occurring?
Does your KVM environment contain and hold a separate network for storage?

Good morning guys,
I have a question regarding network latency on KVM hypervisors. @Wido

From your experience, what would be considered a correct or acceptable
level of latency for a KVM environment? Are there any benchmarks or
metrics you follow to assess whether the network latency is within
reasonable limits?
Any insights or best practices you can share would be highly appreciated.
Thank you in advance for your input!
