Well, I guess I probably answer my own question regarding images. The note in the documentation to do this: `echo "policy: enabled" > /etc/cloud/ds-identify.cfg` is probably not done on default image made by ubuntu, debian and others. So I guess I have to take their image, create a VM from it, do the changes (reducing the datasource-list at the same time) and then recreate a template. Is it about right?
