In the Linbit forums I suspected that the wrong format in the Database might be a problem for the templates, but I see in the `qemu-img convert` that there is no source format specified, so `qemu-img` should be smart enough to do the right things. So I simply suspect, that the templates images themselves are not working? Can you try with some other templates, like simple ubuntu cloud images?
