GitHub user TheKunalSen created a discussion: Migration with local storage
i have created a vm using the local storage of the host itself and it worked but if i put thehost in maintainance mode to test the auto migration in HA the host is not entering into maintainance mode it is saying error in maintainance <img width="1555" height="112" alt="image" src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/86d32c5e-154d-4bf4-bedd-7b6b42c46fa5" /> so in this case the vm is not getting migrated to another host , this is only happening when the host itself is having the root disk in its local storage in this case the ha is not happening but in another hand if i put the root disk in shared storage then the host is going into maintanance and all and the vm is also getting migrated so my question is if i create a vm with local storage, how the ha would be possible cause if that host goes down then can cloudstack migrate the root disk from that localstorage to some another storage?
