My desktop is on the same network (172.16.0.0) and I have no problem to "view console" ...I'm talking remotely as from over the internet. I'm not sure I understand you? regarding cloudstack VR not being in the path for instances of Systems VMs. Are you talking about the path in my browser that pops up when clicking on "view console" As you can see (highlighted in RED), when I launch "view console", It shows the virtual router IP **172.16.0.95 and port 8080**, which belongs to the GuestNetwork range of IP's. I've added this IP and PORT to my physical router to allow incoming on port 8080 of VR IP. <img width="1650" height="197" alt="image" src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/e948bd35-0ab2-4cfc-aa17-35be51521faa"; /> The GuestNetwork is configured using a Source NAT ip address, Public IP to be assigned to the public interface. The instances have access outbound, but not inbound traffic ...Just to reiterate, my INGRESS rules for my security groups assigned to my vm instances are allowing all incoming traffic to CIDR 0.0.0.0/0 >From my understanding, the way I have configured base networking, based on the >documentation, that the INGRESS rules of the security groups dictate the >incoming traffic, in addition with adding the VR IP and port to my physical >router.
