Hey all, one important thing, that I forgot to mention in my previous reply. If you're going to backup `/etc/cloudstack/agent/agent.properties` , you should either backup Java keystore file i.e. `/etc/cloudstack/agent/cloud.jks` as agent.properties file contains its passphrase, or you should replace `keystore.passphrase` value, before restoring old agent.properties file, with its new value. Moreover you should check `/etc/libvirt/qemu.conf` or better backup it before, as it also contains following settings, that tells the libvirt daemon, which user is allowed to perform operations with, if I understood correctly. ``` security_driver="none" user="root" group="root" ``` If you're going to reinstall everything without doing any backup, you should remove the host from Cloudstack Manager and re-add it properly with the same name. That should simply work, but I agree with the RyanP's reply: If you're going to do this in Prod environment, just create backups, just in case. OTOH, if you are going with a newer version of libvirt on your new installation, you should also expect compatibility issues with VM migration, because newer libvirt versions may support newer CPU flags/features etc. so that a live migration from your existing infrastructure to your newly installed machine might not be possible. You can still shut the VM down and start up on the newly installed machine, though, if it is fine to you.
