Hi @NuxRo and @kiranchavala, I reviewed the Debian 13 image build script and tested a SHA-512 verification helper against valid, modified, missing, duplicate, and malformed checksum entries. All five tests passed. The current Debian cloud image's `SHA512SUMS` manifest matches a fresh image download, but the manifest does not have a `.sign` file at the URL I checked. Debian's documentation recommends TLS for current cloud images and notes that signatures are available for legacy OpenStack images. Would you consider adding a checksum check to the build script useful, or would you prefer I focus on runtime validation of the template's cloud-init and SSH-key behavior?
