I have previously set up cocoon 2.0.3 using Borland Enterprise Server 5.1 successfully, using a cocoon managed datasource. This works fine, however, in order to reduce the number of database connections, I would like to use a JNDI datasource instead, which is declared in a separate jar deployed in the same partition.
I have successfully implemented this solution in Jboss 3.0.6, thanks to David Kavanagh's how-to:

Using the same kind of logic, I created a web-borland.xml file:

The cocoon log files do not show any error occuring, however, the borland enterprise server logs show the following error:
