2 questions:
1.) Are "session cookies" different in any way than regular cookies? If so, do browsers treat them any differently and allow users to allow one kind and disallow the other kind?
2.) Does anybody know approximately what percentage of people (in general) allow session cookies?
I'm worried that an e-commerce site, like the one we're building, would lose customers over something as "trivial" as this. If I'm looking at Amazon's URLs properly, it seems like they use URL rewriting with a long numeric hyphenated ID. Can anybody confirm this?
