When a document with a doctype declaration (<!DCOTYPE>) is part (<map:part/>) of an aggregation (<map:aggregate/>), the result is an additional > (greater-than) prepended to that document's contribution to the aggregate.

This erroneous behavior has been mentioned before.  I don't grasp the whole issue, it seems to involve a three month old open bug in Xalan and a parser modification workaround.  I see that my cocoon.xconf came with <parameter name="drop-dtd-comments" value="true"/> in the xml-parser declaration, yet the problem still exists.

What can I do (workaround, file a bug, wait)?

Oh yeah, I'm running Cocoon 2.1, Java 1.4.2, and Jetty (via cocoon servlet).

Thank you!
