I noticed that cocoon uses Avalon for logging. Why not Log4j? I would like errors to be sent via JMS for the sys admins to handle, not merely dumped in a file. Log4j is the best logging package for this kind of configuration. Is there a way I can send log events via JMS using the current logging framework?
Not built AFAIK but the avalon logging package supports the same kind of extensions that Log4j does. Does Log4j have JMS sinks pre-built?
