The Center for Document Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley is proud to announce the launch of its website, http://cde.berkeley.edu/ , built using Cocoon 2.1.1.
The site is based on an internally developed framework, referred to as "Center in a Box" (CIB). Center in a Box defines XML schemas for the core components of most organizations here on campus (and beyond), such as "person," "event," "publication," and "initiative." These schemas are designed in such a way as to be reusable and extensible to meet the specific needs of organizations deploying a CIB solution. Using Cocoon 2.1.1, instance documents built with these schemas are transformed for delivery as XHTML and RDF using a library of reusable XSL transformations based on the underlying data model. The CDE web site is the first implementation of the CIB framework. The full source code for Center in a Box should be available as a free download in mid-October at http://cde.berkeley.edu/initiatives/centerinabox/ . Please let me know if you have any questions about Center in a Box or would be interested in using CIB for your organization. - Justin Makeig -- Product Manager Center for Document Engineering University of California, Berkeley --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
