I use cocoon to generate PDF files and have written some xsl files for this purpose. I just to try to use XSLTC for improvement of performance of transformation (cocoon 2.1 with xalan 2.5.1). But I cannot achieve any significant improvement in relation to the transformation process using xalan.
Hmm, how much improvement do you expect? Normally you can gain more effect by optimizing the stylesheet/XPaths. You can test for the usage of XSLTC by enforcing one of the bugs, esp. http://nagoya.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=20381.
