I just tried the with one of the latest dev snapshots (cocoon-2.1_20031020221926.tar.gz) and it still
doesn't work correctly, the behavior is the same.
 

Okay. I'm looking into it. I think I've found one bug, but I suspect 
there's another there to be found.
