I have it running (a friend set it up) on Tomcat 4.1.

Forrest can use CWIKI files as a source. But, AFAIU it does not offer a means to _edit_ them. This is what a Wiki usually does. So you could install a wiki such as JSPWiki, and then have Forrest present a site based upon those wiki files (assuming JSPWiki produces wiki files compatible with Forrest's CWiki format - ask on [EMAIL PROTECTED]).

Thanks for the pointers.
I have JSPWiki working now - I had to upgrade to Tomcat-5 first though.
- However my cocoon apps don't seem to work under Tomcat-5.....I'll just revert to Tomcat 4 for cocoon jobs for now.

- However I'm still curious about the Forrest versions - seems to support .CWIKI type input files
- particularily since it includes PDF output options.

Yup, we are also using it... I was trying to get the
developer to move towards an XML/XSL output
option (that would allow for some *great* skinning
plus the option to have an " WikiXML" output that could
be taken thru other Cocoon pipelines....) but without success - maybe if some of the Cocoon developers opted in this could be taken further.

Didn't know it had it's own site...
I'll look in to it.

Thanks.

Dear All,

why u dont use JSPWiki (just like wiki at cocoondev)?

However I'm at a bit of a loss about how to go about this.
There seems to be two approaches - use Cocoon or Forrest.

It's difficult to locate information on how to do so (most searches

just bring up links to CocoonWiki itself).

If anyone has any pointers on how to go about this I would appreciate

it.

Once I've figured it out I'll write a 'HowToDevelopWikiPages' page on

CocoonWiki itself.

Thanks,
Kieran

Maybe someone else can jump in here and correct me or add additional

information.

You can use an Apache style license (http://www.apache.org/licenses/)

or a

compatible license as I know BSD is one. You use the JGenerator and

they

also use an Apache style license

You read the problem with the licensing? We can not

redistribute GPL

code because of its viral aspects.
