The unfortunate thing with google is that it lacks information about if the things realy work well. I already spent quite some time googling around. I get thousands of aproches ... some ideas which hav been dropped and some that never got past the planing phase. I just wanted do ask the guys, which might be working with real solutions, about their oppinion. Mabe I asked my question a little bad :}

My real question should have been:
Out of the many attempts to create an xml based language for web based user interfaces, which would be the ones people realy working with them would recomend ?

Chris,

You're not going to like this :-) .... but have you tried Google? Typing your Subject line "XML-Based language for defining web-based user-interfaces" into Google brought up all the ones I know and several I didn't, including a pretty comprehensive list at OASIS Cover Pages. Truly an awesome tool.

Thomas.

Hi,

I am working on a practical university project and its our job to define a xml-based language for describing web based user interfaces. One special thing is that it should be possible to have workflowas included in the definition. For example, if someone selects an option this has an effect on the other options the user is presented. Our first assignment was to have a look at what already exists. If there is something, that provides all functionality, that would be fine, if there are attempts that only provide part of it, that would be a great starting point.
Does anyone here in this list have some links he can give me?

Chris
