Yes. Each request is handled by Cocoon, with cocoon:/ mapping to the 
current sitemap. So sitemaps can refer to their children by the URI 
relative to their parent's URI-prefix. E.g.

sitemap 1: mounted on cocoon
sitemap: 2: mounted on site
sitemap: 3: mounted on foo
sitemap: 4 : mounted on bar, has a matcher for "page"
From sitemap 2, you'd access the 'page' matcher as cocoon:/foo/bar/page
From sitemap 3, you'd access it as cocoon:/bar/page
Etc.
