hi stavros, the obstacle is that you can't really assume a parent-child relationship where the children have one parent, since you can mount a subsitemap from anywhere. e.g. taking the hierarchy from your last mail you could mount sub-sitemap(2) as a subsitemap of sub-sitemap(4). now you have at least two parents for sub-sitemap(2): the root sitemap and sub-sitemap(4).
