Just curious as to what the recommendations might be for setting of the JVM memory usage parameters (for Tomcat 5.0.16) when exclusively running a large Cocoon application with some complex sitemaps and such?
We're running on Wintel boxes, with 2GB of memory and fast disk. Not much else running on these machines except an IIS web server front end (which doesn't do much). DBMS is on a different machine. Currently have -Xms set to 256MB and -Xmx set to 512MB, but that sounds low to me. Many thanks in advance for any advice on this, and/or sharing of what others have used in production deployments.
