I have this comprehensive Question:

well if i need to use some JSPs, is it better to put them out of the cocoon
servlet and let them run by Tomcat or is there no difference if they are
served by the cocoon servlet ?

Hello Nadia,

if it is possible for you and you don't need the SAX events in Cocoon (e.g. for transforming them to different output formats) you should not let Cocoon process the JSPs. Though Cocoon does not process them itself (it gives them back to the servlet container) the integration seems not to be perfect. Regularly ServletExceptions are reported without deeper information why - a fix in the error handling in 2.1.4 mabye improves this. Furthermore jsp includes and forwards seem not to work when processing via Cocoon.
