getValidity strange behavior

Hi,
   i'm writing a cacheable generator on cocoon2.1.3. The cache works 
but the validity is
never checked!  (getValidity() method is never called when the new and 
the cached keys match!
It only works when keys are different).
Can anybody explain this to me?
