Anyone know of a way to block Saxon from outputting <xsl:message> stuff to system.err in Cocoon 2.1.4?
We only use <xsl:message> for debugging...but it would be nice to leave it in place rather than commenting it out.
Xalan doesn't seem to write any output for <xsl:message> tags. I seem to vaguely recall that I figured out how to turn it off for xalan (maybe using logging settings, if cocoon configs Xalan to use logging for output rather than System.err).
Don't know about Saxon, but Xalan in Cocoon logs xsl:message into the log files per default. I don't know if this is changeable at all. It's no help for your problem, just a confirmation of the last section.
