Thanks a lot! I just realized that CForms is just a new name for woody =)
you got that correct. actually the new name is Cocoon Forms
the block (and most technical names as xml namespaces and package names) have been renamed from woody -> forms to indicate that this is *THE* form framework the cocoon community is endorsing
'cforms' is how we refer to it colloqially
It's no wonder that I can't find any useful mention of it on apache.org.
same goes for woody: all docos are still in the wiki: http://wiki.cocoondev.org search for woody, you find quite elaborate docs
in fact the cforms docos have not branched from the woody docs yet.
So should I refer to woody docs/samples? I'm running cocoon 2.1.4 and it has woody samples but no CForms ones.
the woody block was just copied to forms so all samples are the same however, since the switch there have been some additions to the forms block
the woody block is to be considered as 'deprecated' and will eventually be removed (hasn't happened to ease users into the 2.1.4->2.1.5 transition)
P.S. Woody is marked as unstable and therefore it's somehow confusing
same goes for cforms, there are more changes upcoming that finally should get us into 'stable'
