Ah, i see. Before i made my comments, i scoured the the 2.1 documentation but could not find any mention, unless i looked in the wrong place. It is interesting to note that it is not used in any of the cocoon-2.1 sitemaps. I now rummaged through the dev archives and found this which explains it well: http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=xml-cocoon-dev&m=108057893116006 and leads on top other good stuff. I will add your extra declarations to sitemap RNG.
