While browsing, I came on this project also supported by Apache ?

This is another XML publishing framework
AXKit is written in Perl. I've never used it, nor noted its capabilities.
Is there someone who compare it ? What is best ?
Why is apache supporting both project ? (I think that it is better to centralize effort on 1 framework ?)
Because Apache is technology agnostic. It wants to provide an environment where people, in the context of communities, can collaborate and innovate Anyway, people contribute to things that interest them, I can't see any way you could get AXKit guys (who presumably love perl) and Cocoon guys (who presumably love Java) to collaborate on a common product. I'm sure there's more than enough space in the world for both. And if there isn't, then let the best one win.
