Maybe this approach could be converted into something
suitable for Cocoon?

Derek

PS As an interim measure, maybe the document team could
convert the problematic PNG files to JPEG (I do not think
there are that many, and most graphics packages offer a
batch mode).

Hello,

I have had this problem too. I think this is the problem of pdf in
conjunction with png. Try to repaint the picture with another modus
(8/24 bit). The colors have to be indicated.

To solve the problem I have written a reader that converts the png to a

jpg picture!

I hope that helps!
