Dear Distinguished Colleagues:

I am considering moving my blog (http://www.olegdulin.com/) from Pair hosted traditional FreeBSD account to the one hosted by linode (http://www.linode.com/products/linodes.cfm). I am considering the $19.95 option because it is only $2 more than my current pair set up and gives me far more flexibility.

I would like to rewrite my blog backend using Cocoon/Xindice.

I know Cocoon is a memory hog, just like any other Java app.

Would it make sense for me to move to the 64 Meg Linode ?

Any thoughts ?

This depends heavily on the size of the XML documents. 64 MB is not much in general for Java applications, but it might work for simple transformations. I would test it on a local system first.
