CForms converts to <tags> ?

It it possible to prevent CForms converting any 
normal <tags> to &lt;tags&gt; ?

This is not an issue when reading back in and 
displaying as HTML (assuming the tags you have
created in the form are ones the browser can
interpret) but it *is* an issue when trying to 
convert to another format such PDF - the &lt;tags&gt;
cannot be processed as elements by XSLT and 
so the forms information cannot be repurposed.

Any suggestions or solutions??
